Equity investment means investing money in the shares of companies. It helps businesses raise funds for expansion, innovation, and better performance. In India, equity investment plays an important role in developing financial markets and supporting economic growth by directing savings into productive sectors. Banks also help promote investment by providing financial services, investment opportunities, and access to capital markets. This study examines the relationship between equity investment and economic growth with special reference to KOTAK MAHINDRA Bank. KOTAK MAHINDRA Bank is one of India’s leading private sector banks and has shown strong financial performance through effective management and a diversified investment portfolio. The study aims to understand how equity investment contributes to the bank’s financial performance, growth, and overall stability.
