📝 Abstract
This study investigates the design of baby clothes that combine cultural expression with sustainability, comfort, and safety, all while drawing inspiration from the colourful spirit of the Carnival in Rio de Janeiro. The designs transform the vibrant atmosphere of the festival into soft, breathable, and ergonomic baby clothes by incorporating its colours, rhythm, and joy. The bodysuits, rompers, dresses, bloomers, and caps are composed of organic materials in the collection and safe construction techniques to guarantee flexibility, dressing ease, and diaper accessibility. Bright carnival colours and tropical themes were used to create a festive atmosphere while preserving comfort and functionality. Feedback from parents and experts highlighted the garments’ softness, usability, and cheerful design. The study shows how functional design and cultural heritage can be combined in infant fashion to create clothing that is safe, expressive, and sustainable. In the end, the project turns commonplace babywear into joyful cultural expressions, celebrating childhood as a reflection of life, love, and happiness.
