Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative technology that is reshaping the operations andservices of academic libraries worldwide. AI-powered tools and applications are enhancing information retrieval, automating routine library functions, improving user engagement, and supporting informed decision-making. Academic libraries are increasingly adopting technologies such as chatbots, machine learning, natural language processing, recommendation systems, and generative AI platforms to meet the evolving information needs of users. This paper examines the applications of AI in academic libraries, analyzes its impact on library services, identifies implementation challenges, and explores future prospects for AI-driven libraries. The study concludes that AI has the potential to revolutionize library services by improving efficiency, accessibility, and user satisfaction while requiring librarians to develop new technological competencies and ethical frameworks for responsible implementation.
