Financial Technology (FinTech) has become an important force in modern financial management. It combines financial services with technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, big data analytics, cloud computing, blockchain, mobile applications, application programming interfaces (APIs), robotic process automation and digital payment systems. These technologies are changing how organisations plan, raise, allocate, monitor and control financial resources. This research paper examines the role of FinTech in modern financial management, with particular attention to digital payments, financial planning, cash and treasury management, credit assessment, investment management, risk management, financial inclusion and regulatory compliance. The paper uses a descriptive and conceptual research approach based mainly on secondary sources from international financial institutions and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). The study finds that FinTech can improve speed, accuracy, transparency, accessibility and data-driven decision-making, while also creating risks related to cybersecurity, privacy, fraud, model risk, operational resilience, third-party dependence and regulatory compliance. The paper concludes that FinTech should be adopted with strong governance, appropriate controls, employee skills development and responsible regulation.
