While the strategic advantages of AI promise enhanced responsiveness and predictive capabilities, the adoption of these systems raises unprecedented ethical and governance challenges. This paper provides a thorough analysis of both the opportunities afforded by AI in global security contexts and the ethical risks that accompany its use. Through modular examination of technical, legal, and normative dimensions, we advance an integrative framework for responsible AI deployment and propose pathways for international governance that align security imperatives with humanitarian values. Recent developments include the integration of AI into multi-domain operations, where land, air, maritime, cyber, and space domains are jointly monitored and coordinated using predictive algorithms.
