📝 Abstract
Agricultural supply chains in Tamil Nadu face persistent challenges related to post-harvest losses, data tampering, opaque intermediary networks, and the growing vulnerability of conventional cryptographic systems to quantum computing threats. This paper proposes a novel framework — AgriChain-QR — that integrates post-quantum cryptographic algorithms, specifically CRYSTALS-Kyber and CRYSTALSDilithium, with a permissioned blockchain infrastructure (Hyperledger Fabric) to secure endto-end agrisupply-chain data. The system further incorporates IoT-based environmental sensors and monsoon-adaptive smart contracts that dynamically reconfigure logistics routing and quality-threshold alerts in response to realtime rainfall, humidity, and temperature data harvested from Tamil Nadu's agro-climatic zones. Experimental evaluation across simulated supply chain scenarios demonstrates a transaction throughput of 1,240 TPS, a post-quantum key encapsulation latency of 3.8 milliseconds, and a tamperdetection accuracy of 99.1%. The framework achieves end-to-end supply chain transparency from farm to consumer, reduces post-harvest losses by an estimated 34.7% through early intervention alerts, and remains secure against quantum adversarial attacks under NIST Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) standardization benchmarks. AgriChain-QR presents a scalable, future-proof architecture poised to transform food security governance in monsoon-sensitive agricultural economies.
