π Abstract
Driver fatigue is one of the major causes of road accidents, especially during long-distance and night driving. When a driver becomes drowsy, their alertness, reaction time, and decision-making ability are significantly reduced, which increases the risk of accidents. The proposed AntiSleep Alarm System is designed to detect early signs of driver fatigue and provide immediate alerts to prevent such incidents. The system uses an eye-blink sensor or infrared (IR) sensor to continuously monitor the driverβs eye activity. The sensor data is sent to a microcontroller (Arduino), which processes the information in real time based on predefined conditions such as prolonged eye closure. If drowsiness is detected, an alert system like a buzzer or vibration motor is activated to wake the driver. The system is simple, cost-effective, and easy to install in vehicles. Experimental results indicate that the system performs effectively under normal conditions and can help reduce fatigue-related accidents, thereby improving overall road safety.
