Abstract :

The study adopted qualitative research approach, the research design used was explanatory research design, the research strategy used was cross sectional survey, the method of acquisition of data was primary source, the population of the study was 20 authors and the objectives of the study was achieved. The background of the study was Introduction of Christian prayer, the study found out the Biblical meaning of Christian prayer, types of Christian prayer, how to pray effective prayer, how to pray to God, the importance of intercession prayer, some of the religious views about prayer, misconceptions of prayer, the reasons to pray, the reasons why some of the Churches pray to dead Saints, the characteristics of Biblical prayer, the results of Christian prayer, the postures of prayer, hindrances to prayer, when to pray, Biblical examples of answered prayers, how to pray for salvation, how to become prayer warrior, the prayer life of Jesus Christ, the misconceptions of prayer, the prayer life of the early church and how to develop in prayer.
